I realise its best to phone them but i know how busy they can get so thought i'd ask on here.
As far as i can tell i followed the instructional video correctly.
My problem is i can only get the clamps to grip on the raised bits at the top and bottom of the pole. When i tighten the screws enough to get the clamps to grip the middle, main, thinner part, then i cant get the clamps to slide over the thicker end parts.
Any one else had this experience?
At the minute they are functioning exactly the same as the old clamps which isnt exactly why i bought them.
I obviously acknowledge it may well be the way i have fitted them

Sounds like you have an Xtreme pole is that right?
If so the clamps are only meant to clamp in the top middle and bottom parts and should not be adjusted to try and grip elsewhere - this is the way the Xtreme poles are designed. They are not designed to be clamped in any other position.
The real benefit of the new Smart clamps is when the pole becomes worn in differing amounts and when correctly adjusted the new clamps will simply clamp on the worn and un-worn parts without any adjustment or issues.
