Define car valeting are you just washing them with WFP or just washing them with soap and water .
Car valeting is a different ball game all together . Mike

waiting on details yet, going to speak to her tommorrow, it wont be wfp, they have a valetor in now so guessing its a internal monthly and external clean weekly, but need to get the specifics off her to be certain,

If you make it easier for yourself its good money,if you are over the top with cleansiness its hardwork and not good money.
Get the right cleaning products its easy.
G101
gum and tar remover
glass gleam
highstyle for plastics
forget the polish but its a nice light easy white polish
jobs a good one
All from Autosmart, itis hardwork however if you have lots of cars to clean and polish at say £50 a car its very good money.
Wash them altogether
Polish them altogether
I was stitched up by a dreamer who ended up in prison for 6 and half years for fraud.Thats what wrecked me.
Go for it m8!

cheers guys, hopefully get an answer to what she wants tommorrow and see what we can come up with,

Do you spend hours cleaning your own car and do know how to wash a car properly. Mike
-
I used to clean a full car in 2 hours to showroom condition.
That's everything including pressure washing and lacquering the engine aswell as upholstery clean or leather clean and dressing.
But for a exterior 5 minute washoff dry with a flunkey or a microfiber
then a quick hand polish 10 minutes
plastics and tyre dressing 5 minutes
glass cleaning
Should take you half a hour a car and would be atleast £25 for the later or £50-£70 for the first!

Cleaned an 01 Bentley and newish Subaru Forester on Monday - Just washed with DI water - Fairly quick and they both looked nice but Car Valeting is something I'd leave to the experts.

i dont spend hours on mine, just a wash over with pure, or cloths, but one of the staff used to do it, so hes got some knowledge,

I'm having my car properly valeted next Thursday. It's £200 for the top job.he reckons he'll be done in a day but 'may need to come back to finish off'
I wouldn't do valeting

Yup. He calls it the Gold Treatment.
It's everything he offers. And he does some really lovely motors.
Engine bay, leather feed, paint protector (actually not sure what that is)-the whole 9 yards.
He showed me pictures of the same make & model car and it was older-looked better than mine!

Its great stuff.
Make everything immaculate and its a seal that sits on your paint.protects it for 2 years from oxodising.dirt dung judt wipes without damaging your paintwork.
Also protects your carpets cloth seats etc.basically makes it all watrproof.

Hi George, we supply many auto detailers with a waterless cleaning product called Beyond-Kleen (all-in-one clean, shine, and protect,) easy on and easy off product that will transform your clients vehicles, once you start applying Beyond-Kleen to any vehicle you never again have to polish or wax the vehicle as Beyond-Kleen based on nano technology is far superior and far more durable than traditional waxes and polishes, if you would like more information under no obligation drop me an email.
-
Bol***ks their is no way an all in one product is better than a £30 plus top quality wax not a bloody chance .
And their is no way you use a microfibre cloth on car paintwork unless you like lovely scratches all over your car . Mike
-
How do you get into that awkward space on the inside of the windscreen right down the base neat the air vents?
I kill myself trying to get in there. Need to be a contortionist!
-
Hi Mike, as you said car valeting is a different ballgame, and when you have been doing it for over 30 years your experience teaches you which are the best products for paint surfaces, i can tell you Mike the all-in-one product i am talking about is the dogs b******s when it comes to surface protection on all exterior surfaces and traditional waxes and polishes are years behind this new technology, and Mike you wont know the product as it has only come into Europe last week for the first time.
In the past Mike i would of agreed with you in that many of the all-in-one products which i have tried over the years were not great, but again this one is the dogs b******s and one of the best i have come across in many years.
-
Tadgh O Shea, may take you up on the email when i know a little more about whats required,
Mike, i wouldnt use microfibre on someone elses car, but i do on my own, no scratches yet,
-
You will get fine micro swirls which can be seen more so in bright sunlight mine looks a mess in bright sunlight to the trained eye easily corrected with machine polish or a good polish with fillers will help cover up .
Getting paint correction done on fine in the next few weeks i have ruined mine with jetwash at local garage over winter and spring . Mike
-
not seen that, but will have a closer look, didnt realise it could damage paintwork, maybe its the colour that doesnt show it up,
-
I have a black L200 and black is the worst colour and Japanesse paint is a soft paint . Mike
-
Dont waste your time on useless waterless rubbish.
Go straight to autoglym or autosmart agents.the best stuff you can get.
-
Hi Guys, Trust me this one is a game changer, but who am i to say it, i have only been detailing vehicles for over 30 years.
-
If it is a cheap price and you are only doing a basic wash and quick shine which is all most people are looking for such as going to the immigrants who spray a whole load of TFR over your car to make it super shiny for £4.00 .
I have been to local car wash with Algerians and they can pre-spray then pressure wash hand wash then rinse then tyre shine and dry off in 5 mins and that is a Mitsubishi L200 all for £5.00
A Pro guy who does a high end job at detailing would not touch all in one products as they have major OCD and for a Pro job you strip the paint back to bare bones with clay and paint cleaner if a machine polish is not needed but we are talking a world a way and serious money .
I have spent hundreds of pounds on detailing gear and only the best will give you the best possible finish . Mike
-
Hi Mike, totally agree with you when that much money needs to be spent to revive the paintwork its usually caused by continuous use of high alkaline based TFRs which as you know cause detrimental damage to all exterior surfaces on any vehicle. When i came across this all-in-one product i was very skeptical as i had tried so many over the years and was never really happy with their durability. I have been testing this new one for six months now and i can say genuinely it is a game changer which is why are now importing it from the USA for the benefits of our clients.

Snow foam g101 and 2 bucket method for me it's the only way to do it and helps ease swirl marks. Lambs wool mit instead of a sponge and a nice waffle weave towel to dry.
Check out detailing world site.

For anyone who does vale ting properly-what do you charge for your absolute top job, all services?
Not looking for willy waving "I wouldn't get out of bed for less than £5k" just wondering...
And wondering if I've got a good price?
-
stop on the windows and just pass the work on for a good drink not worth the agg
-
Hi WindieWasher, your a gas man you are talking about a product that you don't know the first thing about, do you realise what that makes you.

Nano technology is and will be the way forward for protecting almost anything. We use a German product for Skylight and glass protection> Expensive but it works> There's over 30 companies in Germany developing products using Nano tech There is no doubting what Tadgh is saying he's not buls.....g.

I've seen a bricklayer recently in a white van. I have a white van too, so do you think I should offer it as a service?
