Hi everyone i was hoping for some advice i have posted some pictures of a customers carpet....
The stain was cat vomit..... After i hot water extracted with double clean and used some stain pro the stain disappeared but when it dried the stain was still there
The customer put down some kitchen cleaner and she said it went a funny colour stain straight away and she accepts responsibility for the way it is...i was just wondering if there was anything i could do????
Any advice would be exteremly helpful
Thanks

yes there is STOP WASTING TIME on stains its their problem.
far eaiser to say it wont come out
1 . they will say fine carry on
2. they will say leave it , leaving u time to find a easier job

Yes, you live and learn. Say there's a good chance it wont come out but at least it will be clean and will halt further damage to the fibres. If people start arguing and saying it must come out leave them to it 90% say do the best you can. If it then comes out you are a hero.

It looks like a jute browning stain. The customer has probably soaked it with water when it first happened in an effort to get it out. So treat it for jute browning and it may come out.

and if that fails , sodmet should do the trick on that carpet.

You want to rinse out the cleaner she has put down first!, I take it it's a wool carpet? If it is browning you could end up a hero! When treating stains don't make any guarantee's and charge per hour, and keep the customer informed. Before reaching for the sodium met or dye gone I always talk to the customer, keep it as their stain and not yours! dry it fully before you leave.

Explain browning to her. (good luck)
Then apply chemspecs browning treatment http://www.restormate.co.uk/epages/15094.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/15094/Products/BT1G/SubProducts/BT1G
(NOT Sodmet!)
Apply heavy handed, should work straight away. Dry it out with a hair dryer or air mover.
This might work, its your best bet to be fair.
Sodmet (chemspec's spray and go) Would be your next shot but again that might work or it could make it worse if you dot know how to use it! Dye gone wouldn't do anything to that stain.

Chemspec Browning Treatment is Sodium Metabisulphate but only 5%

I agree treat it with any browning treatment explain it as a last chance saloon option, even knock up a liability form to sign. I'm sure that there is def some browning there. One application and decent dwell time. Thoroughly rinse and dry, u may be pleasantly surprised
