Why just with Cold?

I use it mainly for cold... occaisional hot for new and very green cleans
I currently have been using one of the ones from Gardiners but it keeps crushing/ imploding on me..

I had two go like that. it's not Gardiners fault it's the warm hose expanding like a boa constrictor - it just crushes the reel - they can't take the pressure. The connector isn't too brilliant with heat and pressure either.
i've gone back to the metal type with the 'orrible wavy sides. Had no problems with it.

So which do you reckon is the best??? Just had another go today but when using cold.. must just be the build up of heat and soft pipes...

Something like that. Good value, pretty indistructable.
There are better reels about but you pay more for them.
-
Ta for that.. have you used it with hot yet???
-
Yep, I think varitech do the same one with a metal spindle now instead of the plastic one.

Try reelworks 146 are if you want a rolls Royce of hose reels (not my description) get a cox reel .

We use these:

More expensive than most but it runs on bearings and is far more solid than anything else we have tried.

I also use them. Total bullet proof and surprisingly easy to reel in and out where its so smoothe.

Pure freedom ones are fine as well I always use these

Any good?

Much much better than those petal sided things
Re wind seems smoother and easier so much so I've abandoned my powered re winding project
They ONLY JUST take 100 meters of micro bore (11mm) dia.

anybody use the double stack ones from pure freedom ????? been looking at these for new van
-
The problem I see with these is trying to reel in both hoses at the same time otherwise they are going to slow you down

was going to mount then each way so ive got one pipe comeing out of eachside of the van as I am going to cut a hole in each side of the van and bolt the reels in the van none of this hocking up at each job for me just lift the pole of the ladder rack and walk to the house

had to single pure freedom reels the spindle kept going stiff and the tin discs started to warp this was over a year ago p/f sent 2 new ones but after month or so had the same problem they may have fix the problems since Ive gone back to claber reels from gardiners good price work well.
