The best minibore hose we have ever had came from Cleantech about 7 years ago. Unfortunately we haven't been able to find anything as good since. It was minibore, not microbore, but had a slightly smaller outside diamt than our current minibore hose (1mm smaller).

I replaced that with some minibore from Gardiners which I didn't get on with. It was softer and more flexible, but as it swelled it 'strangled' the hose reel and made it very tight and difficult to unreel. If I wound in on under pressure, it very quickly became loose on the reel when the pressure was released and on several occassions a loop developed which caused the hose to crimp and water flow was restricted.

The last lot came from Cleaning Spot a year ago, and this is closer to the cleantech hose, although not there yet.

The trouble is the manufacturers keep changing the formula/curing process of hose so you never quite know what you are going to get. If the hose is too stiff, we complain its unmanageable. If its too soft and flexible we aren't happy with its other characteristics.

I haven't heard any complaints with Gardiner hose over the past few years TBH, so other cleaners are happy with their purchases since I bought ours about 4 - 5 years ago.
