Anyone moved up in size and noticed much improved productivity?
I am a sole trader and am staying that way.
Cheers for replies.

You'll increase productivity if you can carry more water therefore clean more each time you go out.
Obviously you won't just make more money cause your van is bigger.
-
Hoping to go from 350ltr to 500
-
go to a 600l, and get a proper baffled tank,
air con in the van, extreme poles etc it all adds up, i used to work out of a astravan a few years back with a 200l tank, i can do not far off double to the work
-
Its nice being in the know that you have more water on board so can turn water rate up a bit and clean a little faster.
I had a 650 litre in my vivaro and fitted perfect
-
No,the vivaro will be getting fixed at the garage most weeks. ;D
-
i think a vivaro is overkill if your a sole trader cleaning mostly domestic work.i have a kangoo at present and 400L does me although ill be getting a slightly bigger van next time and putting a 500L in the back.
dont forget the extra expenses, insurance, repairs and fuel.not to mention more awkward parking on some customers driveways/roads nearby.
unless you plan on getting a gutter vac or a pressure washer or employing id get something a bit smaller mate.

slightly bigger?? like a vivaro :)
i work out of a vivaro and its briliant , wouldnt go smaller , have a 500 l tank that now im used to wfp and work is all done on time i rarely use all of in a day unless big commercials or very long day and i dont use aquadapter or taps
you could get slightly smaller like transit connect or vw caddy , but the cost is almost no difference maybe mpg slightly better , and i dont think you will find many parking spaces a caddy will fit in but not a vivvaro/transit , there isnt much in it...
it all depends how much water/gear you want i suppose
ps, if you ever think of expanding the capacity is there without changing vans

Are u on your own Ben?
Yes sir ;)
I don't use 600 litres every day but nice to know that you have enough water, doesn't matter what you do. I can take my gutter vac when need it, 2 extra seats in front for my kids when need it, very comfortable and looks more professional than my old renault kangoo that i used to have.

a bit smaller? anyway we know you would change your mind when you have to buy a new van ;)
you've changed your mind with wfp, with aqua dapter, with extreme poles so next time will be the van! ;) ;D ;D ;D

If I am going to a 500ltr tank I think a Vivaro or similar would be the ideal size rather than something in between an astravan and a Vivaro, as there is not much room for any other gear in something like a kangoo, don't you think?

nissan nv200 ? ............... 750kg payload 1500cc diesel ?
-
Bit near the payload
-
your right ben i change my mind more than the weather!could i get a half decent vivaro for £4000-£5000?
3 seats in the front would be good and loads of room for equipment and a bigger tank.
no worries about being over the limit weight wise.have you got the short wheelbase version ben?
