I have various Brushes , I prefer the Vikan brush for first cleans , and for those jobs, the damn spiders occupy and live in the drain holes , of aluminium framed Glass.
I think I needed a stiffer bristled brush , to get the poop , and web remnants off first time , with, minimal effort on a regular clean .
What can anyone recommend ?
This might sound daft , I am thinking of cutting the bristles down on a brush, for rigidity, so they don't flex, and become spikey ......
Anyone else out there tried this out ?
Thanks in advance

the extreme medium bristle brush is great for getting into the corners of frames and scrubs well..it has lots of "spring" to it because all the bristles are the same length.

What Daz the gigilo said. +1.

They no longer sell that brush, it is now dual trim

What is the stiffest extreme brush?

It's the medium dual trim.

I too thought that was a great brush for first cleans. But i put an older brush back on the other day that had a broken jet that i never got around to replacing and thought that was much better for first cleans it got the cobwebs out the corner of windows really easy.
I think it was this one.. the bristles are stiffer, but deferentially be use the extreme for everything else

Lee is correct (as usual!) the new Xtreme standard is the stiffest Xtreme in the new line up.
It is actually slightly tougher than the older Xtreme medium single trim.

It replaces the previous model Xtreme soft and Xtreme flocked in one brush. It scrubs better than both of these previous brushes and is 30% lighter.
It is worth noting that because this brush is so soft it is not really suitable for hot water use - although it can cope with about 30°C
For my taste it is a little too soft and I prefer the new Xtreme Medium Mixed.

Alex. I've got the new blue thing ;D and the outer bristles are longer than previous xtreme brushes, is this the case for the other 2 new brushes or are the bristles the same length as previous models?

The outer bristles on the Soft Flocked Hybrid Xtreme are the same length as the previous soft and flocked Xtreme brushes.
The rest of the new Xtreme range (Medium Mixed & Standard) actually have shorter bristles than their previous counterparts.

I'm awaiting delivery of two medium mixed brushes - I would like a panama hat as my freebie because of all this sunshine.

The easy way is to skirt a bit of neat Virosol on the head of the brush and it dissolves within seconds.

I quite liked the black soft brushes - still got a couple somewhere, can't remember why I stopped using them ???
The black flocked I've never got on with because of the extra drag - it would catch and flip about with a swivel.
Maybe I'll order a hybrid for the hell of it ;D
Ebay's going to be busy in the next week or so.
(Well as long as the free beanie hat, the baseball cap, the free pens, the hose cutter, the key ring and the weekend in Monte Carlo are still being offered).
