I recently inquired about buying rounds from PDS Cleaning, they sent me info etc but they don't seem to have any website.
Has anybody heard of this company? :-\

pretty Darned Suspicious?

They were on the government jobcentre website, I called the number and it was a voice recording asking you to live your name address and telephone number, anyway about a week later I go post from them, very cheap looking at that, no website either, now after about 3 weeks of no following up they have text me a message looking for me to re-engage with them. Offering rounds to rent or buy earning £200 per day ???

why dont you just go canvas / leaflet yourself. Build your own round therefore avoiding giving some middleman a slice of YOUR cake..?

I'm new, and have not set up yet, so as part of my research into whether this game is suitable for me I wanted to get an idea of whats out there and what would be the best way to start etc. Not having any experience and not knowing anyone that I could perhaps go out with to learn from means I would be jumping into the unknown. I did ask my local WFP cleaner if he needed a hand as I was unemployed at the moment but the answer was no.

I bought my first ever round from pds pat dudly smith and also back in the day i used to canvass for him roughly 15 years ago now. Its all canvassed work that has been maintained to sell.. They are reputable and always replace dropouts and work your not happy with. The man has done verey well over the last 20 years from selling rounds.

Trevor where are you from in london. If not se london ill be happy to build you up a round, much cheaper than pds too.

Hi Mick, I'm in West London, thank-you for the offer, I was hoping to gets some hands on experience before I move to the next level :)

They have been going for years and my last contact with them was years ago. I have never bought a round from them but know of someone who has.
They may have changed but years ago they would charge 4 times the amount. They said that they would give you a round and charge monthly for it until it was paid for. I found that just wasn't true. When I called them they encouraged me to get a loan out and even before that they were asking if I have been left any money from a relative they were really prying into my financial affairs because they wanted all the money up front.
The work they sell is maintained by w/cleaners but not on a good regular basis and they just do it fast as it is to be sold as soon as possible. As I say they may have changed as this was years ago and I wouldn't have any dealing with them because at the time they were only interested in getting money from me.
They may not have a website but they used to pop a leaflet through the door promising good rounds that you can pay for monthly or outright.
My mate bought a round from them and he had no end of problems from the custys who said that the windows hadn't been cleaned for months. He also found that it wasnot compact and just didn't earn well due to the obvious.

I thought it odd that they chose to text me rather than call me, like they were wanting to save on the mobile telephone fee and get me to call them.
If they have been dissolved then they should not be allowed to advertise on the government website. :o
-
They were on here few weeks ago if you search the replys on some of the rounds wanted threads on buy and sell work.
Strainge.

Just because the company is dissolved does not mean it isn't trading anymore.
They could be trading as sole traders, a Business and a company are two different things.

not great rounds at all ,stay away >:(

In all fairness to them.. No canvassed round is great untill you have worked it and built on it for 6 months plus to get it more compact etc.

I guess it's always a gamble when buying an established business, the seller will always paint the perfect picture, it will come down to what experience you have in spotting what issue's may crop up.
Never spend more than you can afford to loose. ;)
