Title: Can anyone explain this?
Post by: DG Cleaning on July 04, 2013, 06:04:14 pm
A few weeks ago I posted about my TDS going from 0 to 170 odd in no time at all (see below)
http://www.cleanitup.co.uk/smf/index.php?topic=170858.msg1443681#msg1443681

Anyway I went back to the last few houses I'd cleaned with the super high TDS and guess what?
They were spotless apart from a few weeks worth of dust etc.
But no worse than normal.
I was bracing myself for some serious moaning.
Why is this?

On regular cleans if you clean once or twice with high ppm it won't effect the clean . It s not like your cleaning them with dirty water .

Sometimes you can clean 'em with a high TDS, and from the outside they look fine.

But when the sun is low in the sky, and you're looking from the inside out, the results aren't great.

How do you know they were spotless?

When in doubt always check windows in different light levels and look at glass close up from different angles , I look form the side and below the window this is the only way tell from the outside .

I do this on windows with stubborn bird muck which sometimes you think you have got off upper level windows but on closer inspection their can still be some their . Mike

If you have cleaned them regularly with good quality pure you should be ok with an odd day with dodgy water in winter you can get away with it as many customers never see the windows in day light and the chances are it'll rain soon after they were cleaned so hiding a poor clean

I had a resin failure a few weeks back resulting in a TDS of 038 it was a very sunny day and they all dried with a varying amount of spotting more for those in the direct sunshine

Doubt it not had long checked against tap water and it was same as normal.
