Been discussed before i know but how many charge extra or double for first clean 99.9 of new custys become good long term custys .
But been stung twice in the past 2 weeks >:( >:( , Both houses just fronts were rotten so i took my time and got both jobs spot on never charged extra .
1) Cleaned twice then went collecting and they said they had got an extendable thingy out of betterware so going to clean windows themselves , nice house and area and seemed decent people .
2) Old couple strangely they kept asking if £5.00 for 4 small windows and garage door was enough money they asked 2-3 times , Was cleaning in their street yesterday and they pulled up in car and said they did not need me anymore .
Thinking of charging 50% more on first cleans with a possible payback after 4 cleans . Mike

Charge more for first cleans, at least an extra tenner.
Most people/customers can see they are in a mess and will take a little longer. Tell them this and why you charge more for the first clean.
Do not give them anything back or a free clean further down the line. If you've got to offer that to win their custom you are not selling yourself or your service with enough confidence.
I find 4 out of 10 customers are the ones to keep, if they dont understand first cleans take longer are they the ones to keep.

It's a good idea but if they are of that mentality then they'll dump you on the fifth.....
