Got a carpet with a radiator leak stain to clean tomorrow. Any advise please, will it shift? Carpets blue if that matters.
Cheers

Depends did it have fernox or similar in it?  Then probably not! :'(

Only way is to try (rust remover) however some on here may recommend another solution ;). but quantify with the customer

It's hard to offer advice on alternative products when on the other channel out of respect for their forum but I would look at the stain and see if there is any degregation I have extracted them before and pulled out fibres which weren't quite loose.

What you could do is apply prochem citrus gel massage in then rinse then apply rust remover allow dwell then rinse, this may get rid of brown rust or the black mark left usually around the pipe.

The reason why we give the worst case scenario is that if you come across that scenario you know how to deal with it and also if it all goes pear shaped the 'last person to touch it' comes into affect and you could end up owning an old carpet and a few £s missing from your bank account.

Some of these are quite easy to remove however every stain is different. If it was a one off like someone bleeding the radiator then there is a good chance of removal. If it has been a constant weep over a period of time you will find the carpet has probably deteriorated with the backing and face fibres starting to rot. Give it a really good check over first then if the carpet feels and looks to be in good condition clean it as Shaun has said.

Just washing my mouth out Len ;D

Liquagel is one product I love but it goes off too quickly in my van and its a sod to rinse out sometimes.
