Hi
can anyone give me an idea if sending out monthly or quarterly newsletters to existing customers generates more repeat business?And if so give me some idea what it should say or if you can buy them from somewhere?

Alltec did them as part of the fast track scheme, and then they started
supplying them at so much per Month but i do not know if they still do.
Have never used them myself so cannot help you there. You could give
Alltec a phone and find out more on 0800 695 0222 Hope thats of some help.

Ypucould produce them yourself as at first the cost looks high to buy them.
But think about it, The idea is busy Carpet Cleaners send them out as a way of keeping in touch.
They have a database of clients.
They earn £50 am hour plus.
I have produced some as a Local Councillor ,takes hours.
Usually three of us working on it
So probably if you want to do it on a montly basis it is best to find ready made ones for the British Market.

I can't see how anyone can do them themselves, they are not easy to put together and the time they take could be spent doing more productive marketing.
i know they bring in work but for the time it takes me to send out 250 newsletters I could send out a 1000 reminder cards, i know which would bring in more work.

Newsletters, reminder cards, letters - they all work the same. As long as you keep in contact the phone will keep ringing.

I send out a thank you for your custom letter also stating hope to be of service to you again,around about the time i reckon they would require another clean.
Like reminder cards, but a little more personal.

Simply send out an A4 sheet with an update about your company, ie new equipment/techniques and how they can benefit. Then, on the back of the sheet, list a few special offers for that month. Finally, list your other services to remind them that you clean more than just carpets.
It's that simple, and it really does work.

Thinking about it you are right.
Why fiddle around with Columns, diffrent Headlines photos etc in correct location.
They are called Newletters not Newspapers or Magazines

One thing that I dont do enough is keep in touch with ex-customers, its criminal I know.
Any chance of seeing one of yours/

best thing about newsletters is that customers keep them, I make them so they are light hearted and a bit of a read. Many older customers comment on the content also I am subliminally putting thoughts into their heads.
I recently wrote in 1,
I love doing DIY around the house but one thing I hate is poor quality paint brushes, how can you get the finish you want with a brush that leaves a bad finish.
Read this sentence and look at what I am infering at.
Adds quality, therfore they won't go anywhere else.
I did a remeinder card before Xmas with a picture of my super dooper machine and a before and after photo of a dirty carpet and the response was know where near as good.
I pay for them to be folded and inserted into envelopes but I always put on the labels as to quality check customers from database because some may have moved etc.

In a previous business, (alarm systems) I sent christmas cards to existing customers. A few new customers were obtained, by people handing the card on......
If January is the quiet month, then why not send out a christmas card on the following lines..
Merry Christmas, Eat, Drink and be Merry.
Have a Happy New Year........ and we'll clean up after the party!
Enclose a voucher (maybe £5 off) that is valid January only...
