Try flushing it for a few hours to see if that makes a difference.
-
Then try running more water to waste.

Its impossible to give an accurate answer without knowing your input TDS, this should be checked and measured otherwise you've nothing to equate your rise in TDS against.

You need to remove the end cap and take the old one out and put a new one in.

how do i change one , arnt they high presure.?
Hard hat, eye protection and high viz. Not forgetting protective gloves. First of all make sure your waste is open to release all the pressure, this is very important. Also make sure the water supply is closed off and that there are no pets or children in the immediate vicinity. Also, if neccesary inform the neighbours of the activity you are about to carry out. Then on the end of the membrane housing locate the white collar insert,it looks like a giant white split ring. Remove this. Then you will be free to pull out the endcap. You will need to get molegrips or pliers on the fins of the endcap and turn and pull at the same time until it comes off. You can pull out the membrane when its off.
