I've been using the aquadapter mark3 with the red pole hose for the last year and a half...it's driven me mad with the coiling of the hose and it getting caught, also having to pull on the hose twice to turn it off more often than not. I took delivery of a new m3xl and the orange hose on Friday and used it all day today. All I can say is it is a massive improvement, noticeably lighter to start and all it needs is a fairly gentle tug of the hose to turn on and off. I didn't have to pull it twice at all today. The hose too is brilliant and I wish I'd got the orange hose earlier as its completely different to the red as it doesn't have the coil memory thus easier to put the pole up and down and a lot less getting caught on things. The stress levels were virtually none existent today. If you like the aquadapter I would recommend the 3xl and the orange hose, it made my day so much easier and more enjoyable today. The aquadapter is finally as it should be!

hiya mate the red hose only preforms well with hot water, the reason why your taking loads of pulls to turn it off it becasue the coil is snaking up the inside of the pole or the spring isnt set quite right. i know because i to had the same struggle lol tell you what though that orange hose is class isnt it

If you spend a few moments uncoiling the hose to begin with, you won't have the problems you are describing. Personal experience.
It isn't like the normal Pole hose that could be thrown down on the ground and would uncoil as you extend the pole.

It is recommended that you put the hose in a bucket of hot water for a few minutes so it goes soft , Then coil you hose up in big loops and leave to one side .
The reason it tangles so much is when they post it out it is coiled up as small as possible which creates problems from the off , The large the loops the less tangle and knots you will have . Mike

You do it once only, when you first get it new. Not on every house for gawd sake.
