Title: Header tank over flowing

My header tank is over flowing,i have been onto prochem,looks like some kind of seal is gone in the ball cock mechanism ,3 pound fix...its going to be a few days before i have it,anyone done a DIY on one of these ,just to get by.Its a blazer xl..thanks

You could try bending the ball cock arm down a bit so the valve shuts of a bit earlier than it would normally ?

I would also check your float it may have sprung a leek then turn it upside down, if you were phoenix owner you cant do that it silicon only ;)

You will probably find there is a very small gromit/washer in the ballcock valve that is letting the water slip past - they get dented by constant closing and leak - if you can find the right size it will cost about 20p to get a new one!
