Title: Today
Post by: Fakenham Tony on June 30, 2013, 08:20:57 pm
Had a situation this morning I was cleaning a conservatory and one of the finials fell off so I knocked on the customers door to explain what had happened, as we are chatting at the front door a cat flies out, and the bloke says poop we have to catch it, apparently it is a house cat and they have just moved into their new house, his missus came out to help and after 40 minutes we have chased this cat through about 20 front gardens, every time we got close it just got away by jumping a fence etc.
At one point it ran into a garage the woman came out and as the electric doors came down the sodding thing made a dash for freedom and made it, like something out star wars.
It got worse another cat came along and wanted to fight it and then some bloke came to help as he saw me lying on the road with my head in a bush we were getting somewhere till his missus sat in her car was screaming, get in, get in the bells are going
I then realised from his dog collar he was late for his service:)
Anyway I caught the cat and it tried to scratch my eyes out and I was given a bottle of wine :)
A normal morning in Norfolk

How do you get up to the top to glue those finials back on ?
Can you walk on the glass ?

nooooo dont walk on the glass .

you need either a conny ladder or use crawler boards across the roof spars

Re: the finial, I offered to put it back on for them but they said they would sort it.

I would have done it by using one of those litter stick grabbers as a form of extendable clamp, stick some sticks like sh** on the bottom and plonked it back on.

The conny was only a short depth so I could have done this from the window overlooking it.
