Hi,i have been using prochem heatwave for the last year,i think with good results.Never hear anyone mentioning this product.Anyone else using it,is there a better solution in your opinion....
-
I used to use a lot of it it as I always thought it was purpose designed for high heat tm use - however I found that using it as a traditional detergent (i.e. in the solution by adding it through the last step chemical injection system) did not make much sense as it had no dwell time used like that and I only used another high ph prespray on traffic lanes etc. But what really stopped me was the fact that I had a high pressure hose block up which turned out to be packed full of dried up heatwave residue - I read somewhere that this was a fault that Heatwave was designed to overcome so prochem were obviously aware there was a risk of this happening - it is imo a product now past its sell by date...

Hi Guys
I bought a tub many months ago when my supplier was out of Powerburst.
I use as pre-spray and find it works well and the customers love the smell.
Still Powerburst and Pureclean for me on majority of jobs though.
Cheers
Doug

i'm not sure what the difference is, but i use liquid High Heat as a rinse in my truck.. works very well to neutralise the presray and never had a problem.... dont know anything about the powder though

Chemspec liquid high heat and powdered high heat are two different beasts.
Powdered is alkaline, heat stable and contains optical brighteners
Liquid is acidic, heat stable, encapsulating.

I thought the thread was about Heatwave! Anyways one things for sure do not use it in a solution tank on a lecky machine or it will bugger up you pump or inline heater or both...

Ive been getting a lot of powdery deposits blocking up the filters on my wand lately which I am thinking is coming from prochem powdered cleaners so I an thinking of changing to liquid. Trouble is, I dont think they are as effective and cost a great deal more.

What machine Clive? Use a prespray, a high percentage of the time you don't need an in tank detergent.
