Description of the contract:
The awarding authority is seeking to engage the services of an experienced and competent contractor to clean and paint the bulk storage tank 2 at the specified location.
The Bulk storage tank 2 was constructed in 1971 and has recently been repaired. The tank has a capacity of 1,495,621 litres, has an upright cylinder of 12.2m in diameter and is 12.8m high with a cone
top. The tank was previously used as a water tank and is thus completely coated on the inside of the tank. The objective of this work is to grit blast, clean and paint the tank so that it can be put
back in service as a gas oil tank for a further 10 years.
