Apply a really thick coat on your first coat. Apply with a brush, not the roller. It's more time consuming, but worth it. Leave for 24 hours to cure. Apply second coat with brush again. Don't forget to keep stirring the paint in the tin.
I've done 5 vans with the stuff and never had any issues applying.
When eventually it starts lifting, which in my limited experience is after about 2 years, wash the area with your hose and a broom to remove the dirt, let it dry, score a section around the area that's lifting with a stanley blade and remove. Then re-coat the whole area again. It bonds to itself even after a good amount of time. You should be fine.
All the best. :)

What was the surface of the van you painted, was it wooden board or original paintwork ?

I put three coats on my van with no problems.
Mix in an accelerator this will speed up the drying time.
If van floor has a gloss finish you will need to buff it down with sandpaper.
Buy a few cheap brushes and use a different one for each coat.
I put the first coat on in the morning the second that evening and the third
the next morning.
