Title: quick connect failure
Post by: Ged on June 21, 2013, 04:36:27 pm
Virtually new quick connect female coupling on pressure washer failed today, on inspection all three 'o'rings had perished. They usually last for ages but the only thing I did different was to spray them with silicone lubricant. I can only guess that this might have affected the rubber seals. I have used couplings from this company for ages. Any thoughts guys?

Ask them if they've had any more like it, maybe they've got a dodgy batch.
If you've always dealt with them they might offer to replace it.

Just carry some spares Ged, "O" rings are throw away with q/r connectors I just hose/wash them out at the end of each day, only lube when I am not using for a few days, as in using another machine.

hi anyone know the precise size for the o rings..?, I know the large is 20 ml int diameter, I've found a company called polymax and if you order a couple of hundred you can get them for 8p
