Can you explain a little more? Why does a Rockfloor need cleaning? It is only an acoustic barrier prior to fitting the final floor finish???

Hi Kevin
A domestic client asked me to clean the floor in his kitchen, when I asked what type of floor it was he said it was Rockfloor. It has a final finish which is like small pebbles with a pu coating. The condition of the floor is dull but used to be bright. That is all I know.
Kind regards

Does it look like this http://www.thestonecarpetcompany.co.uk/ (http://www.thestonecarpetcompany.co.uk/)
I have worked on this stuff before. One one job we had to use a coloured polyurethane as it had worn so much it was starting to turn yellow. A genius architect thought putting a white one in a nightclub VIP lounge would give the visual effect of carpet.
We have also re-finished using emulsion floor polish after a scrub clean with a multiwash/rotowash/duplex type machine and a neutral cleaner. A soft to medium brush and a wet vac would do same. I would steer clear of a spinner tool for fear of leaving too much water behind depending how much PU has been applied to fill the spaces between the aggregate.

I am totally confused your original post indicates it is this product

Can you post some pictures? Ask the client for original specification or what it says it is on his invoice? It may be that it is more like what Jamie has mentioned

Hi Guys
It is exactly like the one in James link . By the way my client is an architect to! So you recommend a soft to medium brush and a wet vac should do it then?
Kind regards

Hi Gerard,
This is a link to a video which shows an anti slip floor being cleaned, the concept in use here has been used by many contractors for cleaning stone carpets. Its a very safe and cost effective method and will provide the best possible cleaning result every time
