Cleaned an old suite today for an old 96 year old dear, she proudly explained she bought it in 1939 pulled it forward to clean the back and it was on blocks of wood as when she had it recovered they damaged the castors.Carpets were from the 70's too
What is the oldest item you have cleaned domestically?

Actually I was 18 when we did the one in the picture.
The work at the palace was carried out over a few years.

I've cleaned chairs and sofas from the 1880's.
a 28 x 14 ft Chinese rug known to be at least 125 years old,
as Grandmamma had 2 "my sister has the other one".
Last year 2 pairs of curtains 110 years old.
I've cleaned many more items but these are the ones that
spring to mind.

Just remembered I do natural stone. That stuff is millions of years old. Unless you believe god created the earth 7000 years ago and then it's only 7000 years old.
