Are you sure, or had somebody tried to take them and chickened out after untying them.....??
Where is the rope?
Happened to me once, two days later the ladder went, two days later I got it back... ;)

oh I know for sure, I don't keep it on the rack, it normally sits in my van, I threw it up there on friday after doing a job and said to myself I will put it away when finished ;D I never
the only reason it hasn't went any where is the spikes fitted have a bracket that stops it going forward, and the ladders at either side would stop it coming off at the side
wondered why my ladders were rattling right enough ;D

Probably frozen on up there, you don't do much in the way of work anyway stu do you :-)

If all you done driving around since Friday is 30 miles, of course the ladder is still there as you must have been driving very slowly.
I had a bungee cord lying on my roof unattached to anything since January. Apart from driving around town, I been up and down the motorway loads of times since then and for some reason, it's still there.

Surprised you could see out your bedroom window. I've heard the window cleaners round your way are terrible. They drive about with their ladders hanging off and all sorts.
