Hi Nathanael. My solar site seems to be having issues loading. It plays up on my iPad 3 and desktop Windows PC. There is a mobile site, which seems to be fine. It takes ages to load and today I keep getting a cloudflare page which says the website is offline. I can hit a button to retry for a live version and when I do, sometimes it will load the site, but without my twitter feed.
I have contacted the guy who looks after it for me about this before and again today. He says everything is fine his end and there are no issues. I trust him implicitly, but I know there are issues though because I can't get on it all the time, despite all other websites i try on my devices working, and others have told me the same.
Do you have any ideas?
Cheers mate.
Steve. :)

Thanks for checking Stuart. I can access the blog part of the site to write articles, but that is playing up too. When this happened before, I was on holiday and it was on my iPad. Thought it was an issue with that. Today though, it wont load at all on my pc on chrome and without my twitter feed on chrome and safari on my ipad.
It's annoying now.... >:(

And he said there is nothing wrong with it and so in desperation you post for help on a windowcleaning forum. :-X

I believe Nathanael runs a web hosting company, that's why I put the thread for him. It's not desperation, it's seeking another opinion... :-*

Thanks for that mikey. All this info is useful because it is building a picture. I am running windows 7 on a pc that is only about 4 months old and doesn't get much use. Thanks again for the feedback mate.

What's happened is: you've posted so many links on here back to your website that you've worn it out - best get another!

Sorry for the slow reply - my mrs dragged me out shopping today & the torture only just ended!
Your site loads quickly for me in Ireland - but is minus the twitter feed. The twitter issue could be down to the regional settings on your twitter account though - I have the same issue with some facebook feeds for UK based companies.
Is the slow loading & twitter issue recent? If its only happened in the last 24 hours I would expect its probably a temporary routing issue with your ISP or local exchange,.. most routing configuration changes are made on Friday nights & can take up to 36 hours to start working properly. These kinds of changes will affect routing between your ISP & certain hosts/domains, so the chances are its only a temporary issue.
If its still not working properly by tomorrow evening, then its time to panic!
A small issue I did notice with your site is there isn't a maximum page width set in the style sheet - this makes the site look very stretched on widescreen monitors & full HD screens which are becoming quite popular. Its an easy fix though, so worth mentioning to your designer. :)

Yay!!! The boy is back in town! ;D ;D ;D
The site is loading again now, fairly quickly, but not as quick as i know it can and without the twitter feed. I've had the odd slow loading before and it is usually weekends as you say, when I want to write my blogs and update the site, which I guess is typical! ::)roll The twitter feed going missing is new though.
My ISP is Virgin and my domain registrar is LCN if that makes a difference. Also, when the page does not load, I get a page from Cloudflare.
I will let my man know about the resolution issue as well. Any further info would be much appreciated mate. Thanks for replying. :) :-*

Cloudflare has had issues before: http://techcrunch.com/2013/03/03/cloudflare-is-down-due-to-dns-outage-taking-down-785000-websites-including-4chan-wikileaks-metallica-com/
:o :-\
Personally I wouldn't use it for a small business website.

Interesting read mate. Who controls Cloudflare on my site? Virgin, LCN, my server host? How can I get it changed? Who would you use?

Its probably your web designer that signed up for it - he should be able to switch it off.
Personally I think a service like this is completely unnecessary for a small business website.

Thanks nathanael. I will ask him to read this thread and we will discuss. :)
