Working more and more in the rain nowadays and apprently with us for the next 2 months ... jet streams in wrong place - whatever that means.
My old fleece and cheap regatta coat no longer able to take the heavy rain

Need something that will stay dry all day - any suggestions ?

I bought gortex trousers of ebay last year then went to go outdoors and got the gortex jacket I think there packlight then I got gortex trainers aswell none have ever let a drip of water in and its all really light weight to wear aswell and breathable I love them :)

dont diss the Regatta range- they truly are the gods in that (generally)you dont sweat in them
iv also got PORT WEST in my van,old school but not such a friend
and DiCKIES the full set ,often seen used on ebay - reliable but sweaty !

B Dri suits are excellent and available at a good price.

goretex bergaus light explorer boots ALL YEAR ROUND,craghoppers solardry combats in summer,ski pants from TKMAXX in winter.
north face goretex paclite jacket and logo d fleece
nitrile glove liners,showa 377s
cap to keep rain out of my eyes(currently a free gardiner one!)
trust me ian my feet never get wet! and the jacket keeps me dry unless its really heavy.

Im a big lad ...... many years in the gym when i was younger plus it has to go over me my polo shirt and my thick fleece

what machine where you using in the gym Ian? the sweet machine haha

fishing poncho totally waterproof and
windproof
fishing boots covers the rest

Nothing wrong with xxl.thats normal size
Id be worried and feel wimpy if was anything less than xxl.

Get down to the North Face outlet at Cheshire Oaks and grab yourself some decent lightweight goretex trousers and jacket. They're a bit more expensive but last well and are well made, especially if you go for the summit series range. I've had other makes of trousers etc, like Craghoppers and they drop to bits after not to long. These do not.
After getting soaked through so often last year I decided to buy myself some decent kit.

I wear the Gill OS2 range. Amazing stuff. Lightweight, hard to tear, windproof and waterproof.
