Title: Dilution rate for Ultrapac
Post by: wayne zabel on June 13, 2013, 07:11:59 pm
Got some pretty bad Draught marks to do tomorrow.Anyone suggest an ideal dilution rate for UP.

Think I may have mixed too strong last time I used it and had a foam party.

Depending how bad the filtration lines are ........ between 1 - 10 & 1 - 20.

Personally in the past i have added about 50ml of Prochem Citrus Gel to about 300ml of cold water in a hand trigger sprayer........give it a good shake then spray to the affected areas. Lightly aggitate and allow a couple minutes of dwell then extract with hand tool.  I have always had great results using that method.

OK thanks.

I will give that a go tomorrow.

I have had good results with UP but always seems to foam very heavily.Perhaps I over diluted.

From memory think its 1 – 50 but it’s up to you ;)

Have used POG in the past far too expensive good results though

Last time I had a big draught mark job to do UPR did not touch it at all which surprised me as I had got some in specially - had to improvise with a concoction of other experimental solutions - custy did not notice as they went in the end!

I went to this job without seeing it first, but was told by customer there were really dark marks on the edge of the carpet.

Got there to find a line about 1mm thick around the edge of carpet and skirting board, just a line were the 2 join.

How she expected me to get rid of that I don't know.

yeah that is a real pain that sort of draught mark - cant be extracted easily so you end up on hands and knees with a towel literally scrubbing it out - have used a grout line brush before with this problem but you still have to use a towel to transfer the dirt

I've put it on neat before now a not had a problem, spray on, rub, count to ten and rinse, and the marks had gone
