Anyone tried any advertising on a car boot eg a little pitch set up advertising your services and handing out leaflets?went to one the other day for a browse and there were loads of people about,anyone ever done this?

we used to do this with the property maintenance side of the business.
had carboot stuff one side then all the info, leaftlets etc on the other.
out of 1 car boot, picked up just over £1000 worth of work.
done one stall at a fate and picked up a few jobs

this is how i set a small stall up in a local fate i did,
picked up a few jobs, but there wasnt many people that day.

My other half usually has a stall selling our unwanted stuff and puts a pile of leaflets on the table & also everytime someone buys something she puts a leaflet in the bag :)
Had quite a few jobs this way

There's a window fitting company in our town that has a market stall every week.
We spoke some time back-said he had never got a single job on the day but was his best source of advertising as he chatted, no hard sell etc on the day and people rang later on. He was pretty sure it was cause of the no pressure side.
He lived it too.

i been thinking about doing this to at a massive car boot near me im gonna give this ago in the next couple off weeks just waiting on getting me van sign written then i will be ready for it .
