this last 2yrs iv been doing builders cleans for a local firm who build about 6 houses at a time. the windows are never dirty enough to need much scraping and are so far have been what i call medium size luxury homes startin at 450k
now theyve started work on new homes that Start at 950k for the small uns , 5 bed and really big n quite complicated
im jus wondering what you lads would use as a ballpark figure to pitch in at ?
i keep thinking i could divide 950 by 10 and then times it by 1.5 to come up with about £150 as a starter price? in case they ask me how i priced it so i comes over as ok, these arent places where you can price per window as some glass is very big
cheers

Just tell them what your price is. If they could find someone to do a good job cheaper than you they would.

Is each one a days work?
-
Maths is a bit off there Bobby.
If its inside-can be done whenever.
Put your day rate in.
If you do them a bit quicker-good on you.
I've never been asked how I arrived at a price. Either they like it or they don't...

id think a crew of 4 would do each house in 1 or 2 hrs tops . its outsides only . if you were a 1 man outfit you would go home knackered after doing one
how do you lads price big jobs, dyou just price high so you end up smiling even if the jobs a killer or what?

There's you answer then Bobby.
If you reckon it takes 4 people 1 hour to do = 4 x hourly rate
If you reckon it takes 4 people 2 hours to do = 4 x hourly rate x 2
......simples. ;D

There's no difference in that statement and saying for one man it's between 4 and 8 hours work!!
That's a long time 4 hours.
