Title: Blood on couch
Post by: Kenny83 on May 31, 2013, 10:33:24 pm
Hi, It's the first time ive been on this section as i do pressure washing, although I wonder if someone could help me out on this side with my problem....
My 7 year old daughter has been sat on the couch with me tonight and when she got up to go to bed I discovered that there was a red blood stain off a scab on her leg had caught the couch, it's a material cream couch so it's stands out like a sore thumb! The missus is at work tonight so could do with shifting it before she comes home tommorrow... any ideas?
I have used a wet cloth with a bit of dettol surface cleaner up to now but it's still there...

Thanks

Lee

Don't touch it anymore you are causing more damage find a local carpet cleaner the only thing stopping him sorting it is what you use

yes.... It will congeal the blood and set it in for good........

Try a COLD salt water solution and dab at it with a terry towel... softly and slowly..

Then if you can't shift it... get a carpet cleaner in....

Remember what ever you put on the fabric needs to be removed, you can do this with absorption ( a towel) or better is to suck it off with a wet vacuum. Unless you have access to a wet vac then call in a proffesional, you will only make it worse.

Or.....

Turn it on its back so the stain is facing directly upwards, get a trigger spray bottle and place it against the stain then fire water through the stain to force it into the backing allow gravity to carry it away from the face fabric

But getting a pro is the best idea ;)
