does everyone have to pay fees when setting up a standard free paypal account from paypal website. do you just pay fees when people pay in. probably still save on fuel collecting. is it as easy as it looks.
-
No fees on set up only a small percentage on payment- 54p for every £10.. Suprising how many people use pay pal now adays..
Hope this helps

dosent sound too bad. use less fuel if more people pay online

Just offer bank transfer. It's free and customers like it. My average price is £19. It would cost me 85p per transaction to use Paypal. Incidentally I never collect.

just use a bank bill payment, no charges that way

I like PayPal.
£4 on a £100 payment.
Neither here nor there.
I save it up till it hits a grand then cash it in.
I like it.

But if you add it up over a year how much are you paying, several hundred? Compared to nothing for bank transfer

Ste-entirely agree with you.
It is more expensive.
But I don't mind. I like the app. I like getting the banner on my phone saying PayPal received.
Just my way but I don't like checking my statement for payments in from customers.
I realise its not the cheapest-just suits me.

I offer paypal and online banking payment
I have considered charging an extra £1 for paypal, but instead of that I decided to put the prices of the paypal-ers up slightly more than the bank payers, so they end up paying about £1 more without realising it.
This covers the charges. I'd say about 15% pay by paypal, the rest by online banking.
The nice thing about paypal is that the customers can use their credit cards, or their paypal balance. One customer told me that because she uses her paypal balance to pay it and it never comes out of her bank account, she feels like she's getting it for free!
Weird, but I kind-of understand.
Collecting? that's so last-century.
