This is for two days a month! and will be used by me only! i,ll look after it!
i wanna buy the slx but am worryed about the rigidity of it as the supermax is more rigid at the same height. But at almost double the price and sections are bigger.
any one got a slx at 50+ft is it like a whip?
-
Eddie You can't go wrong with the smax or an sl2
Modular
If you have a long run of high glass I'd go for sl2
But if its just a few go for the smax mate, its much
Faster at extending but is heavier to use
Just my opinion I'm sure others will say different 8)

ive got the sl2 mod its a $%^&*£@ in the @££% to put up and down ok for 50+ but looking for something for the 25-50! think am just looking to see if the slx 50 is like a whip or not! love the close length of em nice and easy. big sections do my head in!
-
what poles are you using for this high work at the moment?
-
Hydra aluminium 36 so heavy .....no you don't get it ITS SO HEAVY
-
how much can u spend ?
-
Have a dozen monthly long runs of 50ft+ work, been using same Superlite Modular for best part of 6 years looked after it since day one and it is still going strong.
-
modular is a problem for me! one ive got is great but setting it up is doin my head in! (maybe cos i lost one part on the first clean i used it on)
i will spend up to £1000 on one but if some one out there can argue the case of why i should only spend say £600 i will openly listen
e.g
super-lite xtreme 47 - £703
SLX 47 - £496
in my opinion i should get the super lite but been told SLX is still really light considering
-
ive got a supermax that will reach 50ft if you want a go of it the next time you do the jobs? this will surely help you make your mind up and there is nothing worse than buying the wrong pole when your spending 500+ notes on it

I've never used a SLX 47 but its my understanding thats its the same as (for all practical purposes) as an S-Max. The S-Max is great if you dont want to fiddle about with modular sections and you just want to shove up and clamp. They are however heavy and IMO wippy at height. Having said that i find the sMax fine for one or two high windows. If its a long run, office block or similar then i use the SL2 modular pole as i find the weight difference is worth the faffing about.
No idea about the new extremes, not tried or seen them.

Oh, and i've an SMAX if you wanna look at it and try it.

Thats the one you want. I recently bought one and its transformed my working at height work. Previously used an SLX.
