Hi all,any ideas if a clx22 would reach 3 storey windows and above average conservatories
-
Hi I would reach some 3rd at a bit of a stretch, but they are quite whippy at this length.
-
The new clx 22 is not to whippy.

oh they are!! If its for you then slx and staff pole clx
Buy the 22 then buy section 7 base extension to be sure your going to reach.

ive got an slx 22 and it reaches over all connys and does new build 3 story houses but is a touch too short for an old style 3 storey townhouse for some reason....do they build shorter houses now??

we use them all day, every day. it will do 3 storeys easily, unless the 3rd storey is set back. above conny's is no problem either unless they are unusually big ones. it's a great all day pole and will do 95% or more of regular domestic work. we have another pole (slx 35) in the van for anything we cant hit with the clx.
we dont find the clx 22 whippy at all and prefer it to the slx. we have both the old clx and the new clx and there's no noticeable difference between the 2 except the new clx seems a little heavier than the old one.
buy the clx as its a really cheap, lightweight, work horse of a pole which withstands a lot of mistreatment and is cheap as chips to replace.

Clx22 great pole.
Will reach third story but get the extra extension and just put it on if needed.
I love my clx22.
I have clx4.clx27 clx18.slx18 sl modular.
For everyday windows clx22 is perfect.

I'm after an upgrade from my trusty Harris soon. ;D
Why do you prefer the clx to the slx?

prefer the CLX as its amazing value and at 22' the weight difference is not noticeable.
we don't really look after our poles, and they get a hammering everyday as they get a lot of use, but the CLX stands up to everything.
when you need replacement bits for it they are cheap as chips.
the CLX 22 is £132 (with VAT) all inc and the SLX is £225 (with VAT). That's nearly double the price for not a lot of difference IMHO 8)

Thanks ;D

will the clx 18 be okay for normal 2 storey jobs or is it better to go straight for the clx22?

Get the 22 m8.fantastic pole
18 is ok for normal 2 storey work but best to have a bit more length.i find the 22 to not feel not much heavier.
-
Clx 22 is better value than the 18.
With the 22 you get gooseneck and brush included.
On the 18 you pay for them
-
How long do they last? I only use Xtreme poles these days but I'd be interested to compare a years running costs to see the difference.
-
Windywasher .. does the goose neck make a difference? whats the price ?

goose neck & brush included with the clx 22 only been using mine a month better than a a/d.

i make my own poles.but i ordered a clx22 for a mate
who just starting up...have to say looked a nice pole
and at£143 odd... pole gooseneck brush hose and end fitting
looked good value to me
-
nope its a bit to short for the bigger 3 storys a 27ft will reach but to be on the safe side go to a 30 to 35ft. its always handy to have the extra reach ;)
-
already got a 35 footer was thinking of something a bit more nimble for regular semis etc. Am quite excited about the goose neck. can you remove sections ok on clx?
-
'Course it is all academic as they are out of stock.
-
the sections seem to come apart quite easy which is useful for cleaning the crap out of them. the clamps are robust but they do get dirt in the thread so its hard to extend.
-
Will wait for the frenzy to die down then make my purchase.
buy in haste ..buy twice ;D
