Looking for a new van, and I have found a nice transit 330 ex RAC, but the trouble is they are just a little too orange.
Has anyone else got an ex RAC van? Does sign writing distract from orangyness of the van?

you could change ur name to orange rhino or orange monkey window cleaning or tango window cleaning ;D

I used to drive a kind if chicken korma colour pooproen relay.
You can't get away from the colour.
But-if it makes you money, don't worry. It's not like you're out pulling women in it is it? (Sorry if you are ;D)
Also, if its your only wagon all if the one off brigade will know when you're about. (Which is a good thing for me, may not be for you)
Ignoring what I just said-is the van really that good a deal? Can't stretch to a few quid more for a different colour?
I've just bought a new car and ended up paying a bit more cause I only wanted black. Depends on your preferences...

Love the name ideas ;D
It ticks all the righ boxes apart from the colour, it's not my only vehicle, but will get used to lug the kids around when the wife is working, and wanted one with aircon, not may transits out there with A/C.
I think I will get sick of the orange though, I'm also impatient when it comes to vehicle buying, I need to just sit and hold tight, the right van will come along sooner enough, I'm sure. :D

I been looking at the orange vans myself i think they are a great colour people will notice it a mile off .
Great for walk ups and advertising im considering buying one .

An electrician around here has one and it's nicely sign written, I think it's a good idea to have a "different" van.

Lee GLS,
RAC vans are well maintained but generally have high mileages (I've seen them around 120 - 130k, which is too high IMO.) I saw a Connect that had been sprayed white. It looked quite good from a distance until he opened the door. They hadn't sprayed the inside white but left it orange. Van would be 'worthless' if he tried to sell it as it is.
Spraying the inside is very costly. Leaving it detracts from your professional image IMHO. If you are buying one, then I recommend to leave the colour as is.
BT vans are also well cared for and have lower mileages.
Not much good stuff out there at the moment. You may have to wait for the plate change in Sept.

The one I was looking at had 90k, we only cover about 5k a year,,so I'm to overly concerned about that, it more the price ;D
