I am almost entirely WFP now but this afternoon is my only street of about 8 houses that I do off ladders (before you suggest it, for a number if reasons I won't do it wfp). Since I rarely go up the ladders now I find I'm a lot more cautious. If its wet or windy at all I won't go up. Today is a perfect example, every minute or so around south Manchester there's a strong gust. In my opinion string enough to put you at risk if stretching for a window on the ladder.
I can't decide whether I'm being overly cautious or sensible. Any other chaps in the area up ladders this afternoon?
I'm currently on the side of 'leave it till next week' although I could really do with the dosh

I have a day off today, doing accounts type stuff and watching films about American window cleaners :)
But I think it's touch and go today. I live in Sale and the wind is howling round the house, but earlier it wasn't so bad.
Listen to your gut. If you think it's too risky, don't do it mate.

If u did them and woke up next month paralysed from eyes down would have thought it was worth the risk them ?

Only u can make a call if its ok to work if in doubt leave it out

Trust your instincts, not what someone else tells you.

only you can tell, but if wind to strong i dont do any ladder work, dont forget its stronger the higher you go!
what are the reasons you wont wfp them?
-
a good test is to stand the ladder in front of you with just your fingertips on a rung to steady it
if the wind then tries to take it from you its time to be extra careful
-
i dont understand?why go up ladders when you can wfp them IN STRONG WIND!!get em converted mate.
best wishes

funnily enough out of the 3 wfp jobs i did this morning, two of them have complained saying theyre worse than they were before i cleaned them. i rinsed at an extra high rate but it appears the wind has defeated me all round today!
regarding why theyre not wfp, its basically a whole culdesac of old women who have bad mouthed wfp to me a lot. normally i dont stand for it but they all fill me with tea and biscuits, give me good tips and are 'safe' ladder jobs. and when my entire ladder work adds up to one day a month, i quite enjoy it, gets the blood pumping and i actually much prefer trad to wfp. wfp is really really reaaaaaally boring. gotta stress though, i am almost 100% wfp, just saying i do much prefer trad, as does my body

rinsing at a extra high rate can at times have a worse effect as it can splash dirty water all over the glass instead of rinsing it off!
the only things i trad is ground floor shop fronts and insides. im a wfp for a reason, so i always tell them that give it ago with me and 95% of the time they say its great and a lot better than the other wfp guys around.
