yes ....
You can get a form to fill in and send off to the NHS, and if you qualify, you get a certificate for 12 months free treatment...

You are also able to get working tax credits, housing benefits and immunity from paying national insurance, usually if you are just starting out, but if your income for the last year is below a certain level, then you can get all of the above..

It is also how the immigrants get around the job seekers allowance laws and rules..

Household income threshold is about £17000 for married couple no kids which is us!
If you earn over that forget it.
Don't know figures bu if you have kids threshold is a lot higher.

Go to the tax credits website and put ya details in and hey presto they will tell you what you are entitled to there and then .

We had a very bad year one year and when we renewed our tax credits we were getting £202.00 working tax and childtax credits a week and they bunged us 3k backpay too .
Oh and free dental treatment and prescriptions .

I've never paid for a visit to the doctors! Will i have to start paying when I'm earning £300 an hour like some of the fellas on here?

The dentist, fair enough, I pay for the dentist (not if it's an emergency, you can get that done at the hospital), but the doctor??

Never paid for the doctor before.
