Been busy getting rid of a crap patio area and putting this decking area in, at home.
Not perfect. I am definitely not a carpenter in the making and I have found out what lower back muscles are for. Got some finishing off, little bit of sanding, some screws to go in, some holes to cut for light posts on the corners and then onto the sealant/sealer.
This is where the advice is needed. This is a damp back garden, top half of the deck will get the sun from lunchtime till teatime, couple of hours on the lower half in the morning. Wood from the shed.
Built the long planters to put seasonal plants into and it got rid of the leftover wood
What is required please?

Left hand side gets the sun from lunchtime and the right hand side gets it from mid morning!

do you need someone to clean it every year??? 8)
-
I do and because of that I have bought a Karcher Eco pressure washer for my wife to take care of it without me being involved. Got a FSC, turbo nozzle & extension arm for the lance.
Rinsed my pick up off with it yesterday and it is the perfect flow & pressure to clean up the deck, as and when needed.
My wife does enjoy scurrying round tidying up. I love her more than Chris ;D

Fiona will sort the job out! ;)

Cheers guys
You might all think that I am the boss, Lee knows the truth ;).
Bearing in mind where the sun hits the deck, that it is a damp garden, what sealer/stain would you use?

You possibly wouldn't get out of the area, it is like Deliverance country round here. That's possibly a little old for you - they are all Hillbillies and knuckle draggers, like someone else who is annoying on here ;D

When's the annual clean it up BBQ then Rob?

I wouldn't trust more than one at a time on there, Don't want to be on Harry Hills TV burp, in a big pile on one end.
Chris can't come because he's not my friend anymore!

;D You've done a good job to be fair, i struggled with a bird table so couldn't do nothing like that. Although I shifted two ton of stone from my drive to the garden tonight so thats me now nackered, I had the Mrs helping and she was using a regular 6 litre bucket whilst I was lugging wheel barrows and builder buckets! You can't get the staff anymore ;D

Neil
Thanks for that. Women don't know their role any longer. You should have been directing, feet up with a tinny ;D

Drill some drain holes in the bottom of the planters else they will rot and your pansies will droop .

On the to do list. I'm not talking to you!
Rob ;D

Ok..no problem.Don't talk ....but i do like your peg basket/bucket in the pictures. Is the colour lavatorial blue? Shall i make you some hazel pegs for it?
-
It's to match my blue thongs

See you are talking to me...it's like an unspoken bond of brotherly love. xxx The blue thong excites me ..will you be wearing it on Wednesday to work under your protective uniform ?
