does any one on here run both side by side.
Do you feel its worth the investment for the returns and is there still a market out there for oven cleaning
Many thanks
Bob

Hi Bob
I run both, started as oven cleaning only and got into window cleaning due to a request from a commercial customer. Now oven cleaning is still the main side of business but windows catching up steadily. Soon won't be enough days in the month to meet demand!
Oven cleaning is still a growing sector, many people still aren't aware of it but the majority will become regular customers once they have found you. Ask your customers if they would have their oven cleaned if you offered the service to gauge demand. Not expensive to get up and running and I find the two work well together, most of my window customers have come from having their oven cleaned. I also offer a start up package including training, dip tank, all equipment and materials needed.
I have been running 2 vans but get a new van next week to run both from.
Give me a call if you have any questions, numbers are on websites.

its this kind of thing that worries me
but it would vary from area to area
i suppose the upside is your always in doors regardless of the weather

I must admit that I gave him £45 as it looked like a right graft, my oven hadn't been cleaned for 7 years, full of baked on cheese and other delights.
I'd much rather wfp the windows on 4 semi detached any day of the week, regardless of the weather.

A quick google tells me it's a franchise.

Slightly off topic... But a couple of years ago I starting Chimney Sweeping and ran it alongside Window Cleaning - I used different company names.
Chimney Sweeping was a good earner, but I didn't enjoy it and stopped it after a year... Window Cleaning is a much more "relaxed" way of working, you're not tied down to appointments etc...
I found it hard going trying to run two service businesses - Its a lot simpler just window cleaning now.
Since I tried running the two businesses I now can't understand why anyone would want to - Window Cleaning is so scalable... If you need more work just go and get it.

A mate does chimney sweeping but to be honest does very little cleaning
most of his time is spent going to weddings for luck.
Goes to the service and gets his photo taken with the bride and groom £100 +costs.
