Hi Guys
Just had one of my customers ask me to spruce up a church wood floor for his daughters wedding in a couple of weeks time. I took a look this morning and it really needs sanding back and then re-sealing but he just wants the main isle just to look half decent so the pictures look nice. I was thinking of just black padding it with a light solution to clean it a bit and then put a water based emulsion seal on the surface. Do you think this will look half decent or would you go in with a poly seal first before an emulsion seal?
Thanks
Tim

He would be better off getting you to photoshop the pics.
If its worn through emulsion polish wont seal it. It will need polyurethane.
It's most likely discoloured too which will need sanding back.

If its worn through to the wood, don't wet clean or apply emulsion, to do so would be sacriligeous.... on 2 levels.

Hi all
all finished at the church, in the end went with poly undercoat and 2 coats of high solid polish. Customer very happy along with the church. Will need to be sanded at some point but as they could only afford a temporary fix this had to do. My customer is also a big contributor to this church, anyone would think it was a royal wedding!
