double check that you connected it the right way round with the water in and out

the only other thing i know to stop flow is the riser itself - some models have a filter mesh inside and this
can get blocked - is your riser tube just a straight tube approx 19mm dia  or larger diameter with a moulded nut shape
on it ??

Thanks for reply. the tanks stands about 18 inch high with in and outlet fittings . i have change resins often and having no problems. at the weekend going to remove di vessel and run without it to  see what flow of water is like. i do no when i was screwing di vessel top back on it was hard to get tight, might have bottom out on resins or water pipe has got blocked or filter will check out

You have air in the vessel. Take head off, bring back to top with tap water then screw head back on. ;)

Air will compress, water wont.
