Title: Pumptec pumps?
Post by: gaz1984mcc on May 14, 2013, 10:45:38 am
Hi does anyone on here know who the UK distributor is for pumptec? Or somewhere that sells a variety of there pumps rather than just the 250 psi and 500 psi versions.

Thank you

Gary

Does anyone know if this sought of pump could be used for carpet cleaning? Is this the same sort of thing that are on truckmounts apart from the fact that this is electric driven rather than engine driven?

Mytee uses one in the LTD12

I think its fitted with a 1hp at least ...  overkill perhaps if its just for carpet ..  good for T&G

But the big motors will weigh heavy even if u have the space to fit them .

lots of examples on this site  , they might pair with 1/2 HP if you asked ..

I think both my Scorps are fitted with 1\3 horsepower and more than enough power as i generally use no more than 250 psi on most jobs
still the Lightest most powerfull portys on the planet !

Agree with most of what you say Stuart   :D

I would be quite happy with even one of these for carpet  ...

Don't get the need for 600-800psi pumps ... unless you use those T&G spinner things .

You would also need to uprate the bypass valve in the prochem if you fitted anything more than a 150 psi pump

Contact Trevor Ives, he'll be able to point you in the right direction.

I rang up polarbrite and they've stopped selling them unfortunately. The guy said he might have to review the listing on the website. Because of supply issues although you can get them from steambrite but I reckon it would probably work out pretty expensive with shipping. I think Woodbridge seem to be the cheapest around to be honest.

I got the last flojo from Woodbridge a couple of months back, starting to have pressure issues ,so will also be looking out for a new one soon, had to agree on no warranty ,as they have stopped doing them, due to reliability issues

This is the exact same pump ...   but you see its more expensive when they stick a Mytee badge on it   :)

Steembrite might be worth a shot ...  otherwise the 500psi pumptec from woodbridge is good value ..  or the 150psi shurflo on the induction motor .
