Yes very good,i love it.

Why would you want one of those instead of a squeegee or am I missing something?

Less mess mate, looks easy to use. If you have the bucks they will sell. Cant' imagine the squeegee being around in 15 years.

Don't forget to wear this when you use housewive's equipment ;D
You could always try Unger internal kit though. Mop and squeegie :D

Funny enough I was in Guildford yesterday in Homebase and they had it on a display with a sheet of glass on a stand,I tried it and was impressed and I heard someone walk behind me saying "He's good is'nt he" however I would'nt buy one but they are light and better than I thought they would be but are a bit oversized for the job.

They're great, they're a nifty piece of kit. They'll probably replace no kit we already have but they have their uses. And, most importantly they do impress custys. We've had loads say..oh thats great, whats that it looks good etc...they never comment when you just use a mop and blade.
Now, come one guys............learn to trad properley then you won't need one, a proper window cleaner wouldn't use one, if custys know about them we'll be finished. I'm sure you could add loads to the list !! ;D
-
we got one a few weeks back - it's great been using it for conservatory cleans as it works very well upside down
no mess and just as quick as a blade.
Now i use it for all the internal work - makes it a real pleasure to do and and the customers LOVE IT!
not sure why the snobbery of mop and blade when this is the same less the mess

Only 20 minutes use of the battery according to the spec. Some thoughts occur to me. Wouldn't people think why do I need a window cleaner if you turn up with one of those? Does it need detailing? They look cumbersome and awkward in tight spaces.
-
I recommend this to my mum and sisters, because I dont like doing internal cleans (free ones especially) .

Exactly, nothing to stop a customer buying one especially after he has been shown how to use it by his window cleaner.

I hate cleaning interior windows so I wish this were true.
I used to cringe when a customer would ask me to clean the insides.
Since getting a karcher not a problem.
You do need to detail the edges but one microfiber will do a large house with conservatory.
Not something I would buy for exterior cleans no point.
-
Nothing stopping a customer using a £1.00 squeegee or microfibre cloth
all the customers i deal with are not interested in cleaning their own windows ( thats why they pay me )
because a. old or disabled or b. too ruddy lazy with cash to burn
a Karcher won't change this - in fact, thinking about it, i have a customer who has a karcher window vac and
still gets me to clean the insides - using a... urm.... Karcher window vac

the karcher is great to work with don't forget you now have an extension pole to work with plus a smaller head for the smaller panes you also need to discard their rubber blade and replace with an unger soft
here is my karcher custys love it ;D(http://www.cleanitup.co.uk/smf/1368515429_05052013(001).jpg)

which rubber blade do you buy? thanks
-
unger soft reason why is because it lets you right into the frame to suck every drop of liquid where as their original rubber is to stiff and stops it getting down to the bottom of the frame,

I don't know how pro windies need a house wife gadget. If you're in a trade, and can't perform your trade until someone invents a gadget like that, what did you think when you got into WCing?
I've seen all the gadgets for painters and decorators on TV ads. If the guy you hire to paint your house rocks up with one of those, would you feel relaxed about it?
There's a certain amount of skill needed to use a blade on the insides. Been doing it for years and if you have a problem with the level of skill needed, just put a towel or bed cover down infront of the window to be cleaned!
I'd feel embarrassed to turn up to a job and pull out tools like that. WFP is a good tool for outside jobs, but it's made the trade easy to get into for people with a fear of heights, two left hands and no hand/eye co-ordination. No problem there, but it's developed a group of us that can't get insides cleaned without some crap 20 minute gadget from JML TV!!
Imagine your decorator tipping up to work on your house using this!!

-
I would be embarrassed Joe.You stick to JML TV tat, and I'll do what I'm good at ;D
-
i laughed at the post saying the squeegy wont be around in 15 years
-
another thing to remember 20 mins is continues use from start to battery finishes that is a long time i can do 5 large houses with that almost a £100 a day ::)roll i have use the karcher now for 4 years the same one never had a problem of any breakdowns it speaks for itself germans products are not crap and do work. Vorsprung durch Technik
-
i think ill stick to mop and squeegee for the few inside cleans i do! ;) ;D ;D
i could see it being good for inside conny roofs and inside velux windows but i dont clean any so its a big fat NO!from me! ;D ;D ;D
fair play to the guys that do though.why not?if it makes your working day easier?all depends on your type of work surely?
regards
dazmond

I have been cleaning windows since 1958, we had no squeegees then, and the old leather and damp clean scrim still does the job for the insides with small panes. The old wagtail all in one is also a brilliant tool for insides and one I still use. I can se this tool being very handy when your glass is misting on the insides as you are doing them. I do an old Georgian house where this often happens, and it's a bloody nightmare. As jouk says this tool has it's place.
