Title: changing a Gaps ro4040 membrane

Just a quick one,
How do you change a Gaps RO4040 membrane

IE:  Getting the ends off the casing

I've been struggling for a damn good hour or so.

Managed to get the plastic ring off. But now i can't unscrew the end bit.
 

My fingers are hurting along with my temper grrrrrrrrrr


I hope this all makes sense to someone out there who could advise

I think as far as i remember when you bought the RO it comes with an attachment to  help pull them off?

the inner bit pulls out no screwing involved

yes you just have to pull it once the lock ring is off, I put some mole grips on one of the black plastic splines and twist and pull, with a bit of coaxing it should come off.
