Don't mind cleaning in rain but rain and wind can be a nightmare.
7 months of winter to be followed by endless high winds and rain.
I know that a lot of the windows I clean are hardly staying clean for the day.
So much for pride in your work I feel like a conman taking their money.
To be honest if there was something else out there I would give this game up.

Probably not a good idea to advertise you are going on holiday. . . . lots of opportunistic thieves reading these posts, and could work out were you live !

Not a bad day just a few miles down the road from you Daz. A bit blustery but the rain held off. I was on insides all day anyway.

There's a new estate of 800 homes going up near me hopeing to get 300 min all next door to each other £££. They've done about 200 so far with about 125 moved in, I have 45 of them, a lot don't want a cleaner yet because builders creating a lot of dust.

Hope you ok mate?

tom the secret is being regular, reliable and doing a good job.earning trust and working hard for years!
i know its hard to believe but there are 3 other window cleaners on these estates.one has 2 customers, the other about 4 customers and the new starter has 1 customer!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
over the years at least 5 other window cleaners have come and gone and ive picked up the work!!
i pick up lots of add on jobs on these estates as well in spring and summer like conny roof cleans,fascia/soffits and now the odd solar panel cleaning job.most of em give me tips at xmas as well! :D :D
this is only a third of my work though.i have lots of other work like large posh domestic stand alones,4 bed detached, blocks of flats, commercial offices, childrens nurseries,a big church etc, etc.
most of my work is in the same area.its taken years though to refine my round.and im still refining it!it never stops!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
-
i have to reiterate that i also clean all my work in all but the worst of weather all year round!!customers get used to it after a few years and just pay me without a second thought!
i get VERY FEW PROBLEMS!!if a custy doesnt want them cleaned due to bad weather i just miss them out until the next clean is due.it happens very rarely though.(about 3 or 4 times a year).
best wishes
