Title: gardiner clamp upgrade kits
Post by: dazmond on May 08, 2013, 09:00:33 am
im planning on upgrading all my poles.

i have a SLX 22,SLX 25 and a SUPERMAX 40.

i bought the 22 a few months ago.the supermax last year and the 25 the year before.

so do i have to phone the office up alex?ill wait until the clamp kits are available for the supermax as these are not ready yet.

on your website alex it says the 4 clamp kits are the same for both the 22 and 25?disregarding the top clamps should there be an extra clamp with the 25 kit?

many thanks

Hi Daz,

you don't need to change the top clamp
why do you change now the clamps on your nearly new slx22?

hi ben.i wont change the clamps yet on my new slx 22 but it wont be long before they start to wear on the top 3 clamps so i want to buy the clamp kit now while its on offer.

just checked my 22 and 25 slxs and indeed ill only need the 4 clamp kits for both poles. ;)

the top 3 sections on the supermax and my 25 slx are pretty worn so these new clamps will make them feel brand new again!

ill wait until the supermax clamp kit is available before ringing the office. ;) ;D ;D

regards

Will these clamps fit other poles.

Will these clamps fit other poles.

Doubt it as everyone seems to have slightly different diameters of tube section.

Ordered a clamp kit for an SLX 30 this morning. The top section has some wear and is on the verge of spinning so this will be the perfect experiment to see if these new clamps are any good! I suspect they will be though I'm not looking forward to putting them on.

I'm not feeling exactly brilliant about fitting either, especially as your back up is a 47ft
Pole! On another point though thanks to Gardiners for the super quick next day post as lady on phone said 3-4 days I was very surprised.

It does but you would either need to get them to send through to us confirmation of the date of the pole purchase or order them through your vendor.

This page explains the options - http://www.gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/acatalog/Gardiner-Smart-Clamp-DIY-Upgrade-Kits-ClampII_SET.html

If you had an SLX30 then you would need a 5 Clamp Kit which has a list price of £33.00

If you have bought this pole since the 7th May 2012 then it would cost you £33.00 - 50% = £16.50 + VAT
If you have bought this pole before the 7th of May 2012 then it would cost you £33.00 - 25% = £24.75 + VAT

Hope this is clearer  :)

Alex, nothing to do with the clamp but can we buy only 10 meters of yellow pole hose, no need 30m to be honest. Thanks

We are selling the hose by the reel in 30m or 100m as these are the best value way of buying the hose for clients.

Alternatively we are now offering ready made hose packs which have the right amount of hose for various size poles from 4ft - 78ft - http://www.gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/acatalog/Telescopic-Pole-Hose-Packs-Hose_Packs.html

I did mine tonight, first clamp I removed I sawed slightly into the pole (I didn't try with screwdriver early enough  :() and when I got to the last clamp the glue was going hard and I only just managed to get it done and I wasn't taking all day either. Anyway all on just the inside glue removal to do in the morning.
