It's just the way it goes with today's tech. Impurities have to be carried away from the surface of the membrane, otherwise it would clog up. At least it goes down the drain so the waste plant can treat it. There is just no zero waste system.
If you are that concerned I would invest in rain water harvesting, but you can't really expect to have the amount we use each day ready for the taking. Unless you have vast storage facilities for when it does rain.

No waste water, but just wasting money. :D
(for the majority of people in the country)

So does buying a booster pump slows down waste water
-
i can only speak from my own experience but in my case it helped a lot with waste and with tds after ro.

Its a crying shame that the waste can't be re pumped back into the ro but probably cost as much in electric to pump back if it could be done?

Thanks so will any booster do a 1000 gpd
