Lee,

What reel did you end up buying? the hozelock one or the better metal one? Are you just running 1/2" hose?

Im looking to get a second one to use with the trailer, its a right pain coiling 50m of hose by hand at the end of the day  :'(

I just bought the hozelock one matt, and 50 meters of hose seperate, hung it up in the van so it's out the way, getting some hose guides for my high and low pressure hoses this week so they don't drag on the van. If I could give a tip it would be to not but the hose that I bought as it kinks easily, my older hosse was better, never ever kinks and very strong.... heres the stuff I used to have....

Yeah, the hozelock reels do a decent job, and they dont take up huge amounts of room. cheap to replace too
I just bought the hozelock hose , yellow with the grey stripe. Its quite soft, but screwfix were doing it for £20 for 50m so i bought three.
