Hi i have brought a 1000 gpd filter system but it only producing about 200 liters in 10 hours would a booster pump help and if so which one please
-
God that's slow neil what's the mains pressure off your tap??
-
thats way too slow - is it new today ???
if you have low water pressure then you will not get anywhere near the 1000 GPD ( thats US gallons
over 24 hrs )
but check you have not left the waste gate ( flush valve ) open

There is 2 upright tanks fitted so the pure water as to climb steep up hill will that make a difference
-
shouldn't make a difference - but you can test this by leaving the pure at low level and filling a litre
jug and timing it
ie my system take 22 seconds to produce a litre of pure water = 163 ltrs p/h 3900 odd litres per 24
hours

Ok thank you , if so can you fill from bottom of the tank or would it be best to buy a booster pump
-
I used to fill my IBC's from the bottom - didn't seem to effect the performance
i'd always get a booster pump - everything works faster and you get better quality of water

Which booster pump is best for 1000 gpd most of them say 200 gpd
-
there are several - Clarke pump from the likes of machine mart or ebay
RO man do one
and i got mine from aps
http://www.anglianpumping.com/products/dab-jet-102-m-230v-water-pump
all those mentioned should give you ample pressure and capable of running 24/7
