offside means driver side right? ??? ;D
-
Yup, nearside is the side near the kerb. You're an idiot ;D
-
I tried explaining the offside rule to my wife the other day. She didn't get it. ??? ::)roll
-
thanks ;D
-
I can't understand why the english language must complicate everything.
Overseas it was drivers side and passenger side - simple.
-
Well it looks like I have bought the wrong part! ;D I have just bought a drivers side bulk head (the chair shaped cage one)
and I already have one!!! ;D I was after the passenger side,I have searched the sellers EBAY site & there isnt one I can swap it for ::)roll I was wondering if i could still fit it? but slightly to the right of where the correct one would be fitted to allow for the supporting arm to be bolted at the top?
SPRUUUUUCE!!!!! HELLLLLLP! ;D
We are talking about a 56 plate Dispatch btw.

I think you are referring to what could be described as the ladder type seat protector behind the drivers seat.

If it is this one then there isn't one for the passenger side. Sorry. IMOP they weren't very strong either.
I think I did mention when you first bought your Dispatch that if I were you I would look out for a second hand Dispatch, Scudo, Expert full steel bulkhead that would have been a factory fit unit. It's very strong and has a recess on the drivers side for the drivers seat back adjustment. The steel stuff on Ebay at the moment are rubbish.
This is what I would be looking at. It will fit your van and will give you peace of mind.

Sorry Dan. Probably not exactly what you wanted to hear.

Off Side is drivers or right side in the UK and 66 other Countries.
Some manuals and suppliers refer to left and right when looking at the FRONT of the car.
Hence RIGHT becomes passenger side in this instance.

Without being an alarmist, those ladder frames won't stop a pole flying through the drivers seat in the case of an accident. It would be like a spear.
I have seen some vans with a large piece of plywood behind the ladder frame (between the driver's seat and frame) that is the width of the van so protects the passenger seat backs from damage by small objects. This does restrict the adjustment of the seat though.

The poles are on the floor to one side of the tank :)
