With a 250 / 15lpm machine and using a fsc / turbo nozzle is 350 sq/m possible in a 8 hour day inc the resanding ?
or am I being a tad optomisitc ?

You shouldnt be resanding the same day as cleaning.

You shouldnt be resanding the same day as cleaning.
fair enough ... the few I just done i did resand the next day but trying to work out what an experiance guy can do in a day.

someone was cleaning my next door neighbours drive last year they charged him £180 clean and resand... they did everything in under 4 hours!!!! its fair to say within 3 months there was weed growth.
-
No weed killer...feckin cowboys dragging us all down.

I rarely weedkill. dont have the time to do it weeks before. and once you ha e cleaned the drive the weedkiller gets washed away so wont stop the weeds coming back. only think ive been told is to get a residual weed killer and spray in between cleaning and resanding but that just adds more and more time to the job. especially when your waiting for a dry day to sand.

I have found that a weak hypo mix run through the venturi straight aftyer cleaning works wonders, it kills all the seeds and remenants of weeds that you have just obliterated with your turbo... just be carefull of grass and fences
never used weedkiller, ever, never had a problem, i always tell them how it is, weeds will grow back, unless you weed kill a few times a year

Whenever I do a drive I never give a guarantee because you never know who Layed the origonal drive! Could be mud underneath for all we know. The amout of people I have spoke to who have give 2years weed free guarantee is crazy:o I wouldn't be able to sleep lol

surely once you have got the drive clean and resanded and removed moss and weeds its then over to the home owner to keep on top of it - it only got that way in the 1st place cos they hadnt week killered previous ?
If you charge for it then thats a different matter of course.

Yeah all valid points really.
It is the home owners responsibility, but the way I look at it is exactly like what h2o said. If I cleaned a drive and weeds were back in 3 months, to the neighbours and even the customers it makes me look bad.
I always weed kill first, the residuel after.
