Finally; a successor to the pre-2007 Pug Expert/Citroen Despatch/Fiat Scudo. A van that is easier to park and which has three seats - this make's it much more viable in the Car vs Van debate.

gets better for us windies as well with 3 seat option theres a flap in bottom of bulkhead that from a sketchy diagram it would appear you can put a long item such as a pole along load area and thru bulkhead and under passanger seat - just need to raise tank a few inches.
-
im going in for a new van in October - this has just gone to top of must take a look at list :)

bit of a mean face to it. looks like a pikes face

Just a copy of the Berlingo/Partner vans. Just as the middle seat is next to useless on those, so I would imagine the dual passenger seat will be on the new Connect. The width of the van is the issue.
I defy anyone to sit 3 adults in the front of a new Berlingo.
But I do like the front nose of the new design and how it fits in with the Custom and Fiesta vans - like BMW did with the 3, 5 and 7 series.

Ford says the new Transit Connect Van will be able to carry a 1,650-pound payload and tow a 2,000-pound trailer when properly equipped.
1650 / 2.2 = 750kg

For my own motor dealership experience, different countries release different variants, depending on the market sector they want to focus on.
If it comes out in a 750kg model here then that will fit with the current T220. But the T230 LWB is better for window cleaning IMPO as it has a 900kg payload.
